The Bord Bia Quality Mark on meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables means that the fresh food carrying the Mark has been produced to the highest standards and its origin can be traced back to the farm.

You will find the Bord Bia Quality Mark on pre-packed bacon, beef, chicken, cooked ham, duck, pork and rashers. You will also find the Quality Mark on eggs, fruit and vegetables.

Food Safety

Food Safety Authority 

The FSAI has the primary responsibility for controlling the safety of food.  It delegates some of its functions to other bodies such as the Health Services Executive and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, but it retains the final responsibility.
